1. Information we collect
Information you provide directly
Depending on how you interact with us, you may provide information such as:
name, email address, and other contact details;
messages, support requests, contact-form submissions, and feedback;
Thinkific account, enrollment, course-progress, purchase, and service information;
appointment details and answers submitted through Calendly;
information needed to deliver a guide, class, course, or other requested resource;
order, transaction, refund, and billing-related information made available by a payment provider; and
other information you choose to provide.
Calendly intake answers
The public Calendly intake does not intentionally request detailed health information. It asks what a person wants to understand about the course, whether they are open to guided paid support, whether they reviewed the course format and investment, and optional logistical or decision-related information. The optional field instructs people not to include medical records, diagnoses, medications, or detailed health history. A person could nevertheless voluntarily include health-related information despite that instruction. Such information is not required to schedule a call. We use voluntarily supplied information only for the requested interaction, support, course administration, or other purposes disclosed in this policy.
Information collected automatically
When you use our website, course pages, emails, or embedded content, we and our service providers may automatically collect information such as IP address, browser and device type, operating system, approximate location, referring page, pages viewed, dates and times, session information, cookie or similar identifiers, and campaign parameters. Mailchimp messages may also use tracked links or pixels to report delivery, opens, clicks, device information, IP address, and timestamps, depending on settings and recipient technology.
2. How we use information
We may use personal information to:
provide and administer websites, accounts, courses, purchases, appointments, requested resources, and support;
authenticate accounts and protect the security of our services;
deliver course access and service, security, administrative, and transaction communications;
prepare for scheduled conversations, understand a person’s needs, and assess whether services may be suitable;
send optional marketing communications when we have an appropriate basis to do so;
maintain subscription preferences, unsubscribe requests, and suppression records;
measure and improve website, course, email, and campaign performance;
prevent misuse, troubleshoot problems, and maintain business, accounting, tax, dispute-resolution, security, and legal records; and
comply with applicable obligations and enforce our agreements.
3. Emails and communication choices
Course, account, and service emails
We may send non-marketing emails needed to create or secure an account, provide course access, confirm a purchase or appointment, deliver service notices, respond to support requests, or communicate other information necessary to provide a purchased or requested service.
Requested-resource emails
If you request a guide, class, masterclass, course access, or another resource, we may use your email address to deliver it and send information reasonably necessary to fulfill that request. Requesting a resource does not by itself authorize unrelated optional marketing unless that choice is presented and you agree, or another lawful basis applies.
Optional marketing emails
Marketing emails may include newsletters, somatic lessons, reflections, offers, and information about programs or resources. Marketing signup is optional. Creating a Thinkific account, enrolling in a course, buying a service, accepting course terms, or requesting a resource is separate from any optional marketing-email choice.
You may unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time by using the unsubscribe link in a message or contacting us. Unsubscribing from marketing will not cancel a purchase, course enrollment, requested resource, appointment, or other requested service. We may still send non-marketing communications that are reasonably necessary to provide or administer those services.
4. Website cookies and analytics
Our website and course services may use cookies, pixels, local storage, and similar technologies to operate pages, remember choices, measure traffic, understand engagement, and evaluate campaigns. We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how people use our services. The information collected depends on platform settings, browser choices, and any consent controls that apply.
Where a cookie or analytics choice is available, you may use the provided controls and browser settings. Some essential technologies may be needed for security, authentication, checkout, or basic service operation.
5. Thinkific courses and accounts
Thinkific hosts course pages, user accounts, enrollments, course access, learning activity, and related communications. Information processed through Thinkific may include name, email address, account identifiers, sign-in method, enrollments, course progress, completion status, access history, product and order identifiers, and support or course communications.
Account creation, course enrollment, and consent to course or service terms are distinct from optional marketing-email consent. Agreeing to optional marketing emails is not required to receive course access or necessary service communications.
6. Scheduling through Calendly
Calendly is used to offer and administer appointments. Calendly may process your name, email address, selected time, time zone, answers to current scheduling questions, and optional phone number or event-related communication preferences. The current form does not intentionally request detailed health information and instructs people not to include medical records, diagnoses, medications, or detailed health history in its optional free-text field. You could still voluntarily provide health-related information despite that instruction, but it is not required to schedule the call. We use scheduling information and any voluntarily supplied information only to prepare for and administer the requested interaction, provide support, administer a course, communicate logistics, or for other purposes disclosed in this policy. Calendly processes information under its own terms and privacy notice.
7. Consumer health data
Information voluntarily provided through Calendly intake, website-contact messages, direct email, course or support communications, and related services may qualify as consumer health data. The current Calendly form does not intentionally request detailed health information, and health-related information is not required to schedule a call. If you voluntarily provide health-related information despite the form’s instruction not to include medical records, diagnoses, medications, or detailed health history, we use it only for the requested interaction, support, course administration, or other disclosed purposes. A separate Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy provides additional information about categories, sources, purposes, processors and recipients, consent, withdrawal, access, deletion, third-party-list and appeal rights, verification, response periods, security, and retention. Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy.
8. Payment processing
Payments for courses or related services may be processed through Thinkific Payments and the payment providers presented in the applicable checkout. Payment-card and related financial details are submitted to and processed by those providers under their own terms. We receive the order and transaction information made available to us for purchase administration, access, refunds, accounting, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, and support.
9. Service providers and other disclosures
We may disclose personal information to service providers that help us operate the business, including:
Squarespace for the public website and website forms;
Thinkific for course pages, accounts, enrollments, learning activity, checkout, and Thinkific Payments;
Mailchimp for email delivery, audience administration, automation, engagement reporting, suppression records, and verified Thinkific user or lead email synchronization; we do not direct Calendly intake-answer content to Mailchimp;
Calendly for scheduling, intake questions, and event communications, and Google Workspace/Gmail for the verified business mailbox, direct email, and support communications;
Google Analytics 4 and Google or YouTube services for website and Thinkific analytics, video links, and embedded content; we do not direct Calendly intake-answer content to Google Analytics 4; and
Zapier, when enabled, to support limited data transfers or automations between identified services.
These providers may process information in the United States or other countries and may use subprocessors under their own terms. We may also disclose information when reasonably necessary to comply with law, respond to lawful requests, protect rights or safety, investigate misuse, obtain professional advice, or complete a merger, financing, sale, or other business transaction.
Hasu Somatics LLC does not sell, rent, or lease personal information for money. We do disclose information to service providers and analytics providers as described above. Privacy laws in some locations may define “sale,” “sharing,” or similar terms more broadly, and rights may depend on where you live.
10. Zapier-supported processing
Zapier may be used to support limited workflows between Thinkific, Mailchimp, or other identified service providers. When a workflow is enabled, it may process the information needed to perform that workflow, such as an account or enrollment identifier, email address, course identifier, or status information. Workflows are configured for administrative or communication purposes and remain subject to the consent and communication choices described in this policy.
11. Retention
We retain information only as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected, to provide requested or purchased services, meet legal obligations, resolve disputes, maintain security and suppression records, or keep legitimate business records. Retention may differ by system and record type. We may delete, de-identify, or aggregate information when it is no longer reasonably necessary, subject to technical, legal, and recordkeeping requirements.
12. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures appropriate to the nature of the information. We also rely on the security measures of our service providers. No method of transmission, storage, or processing can be guaranteed completely secure.
13. International processing
Hasu Somatics LLC is based in the United States. If you access our services from another country, your information may be processed in the United States and in other countries where our identified service providers or their subprocessors operate. Those countries may have privacy rules that differ from the rules in your location.
14. Privacy rights and choices
Depending on your location and subject to applicable exceptions, you may have rights to:
request access to or a copy of personal information;
request correction or deletion;
object to or restrict certain processing;
withdraw consent where processing relies on consent;
opt out of marketing communications;
appeal a decision or complain to a privacy regulator; and
request information about certain disclosures, sales, or sharing.
To make a privacy request, email taro@taroiwamoto.com. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request. The rights available, response periods, verification steps, authorized-agent rules, appeals, and exceptions depend on applicable law and your location.
15. Children’s privacy
Our services are not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided personal information, contact us so we can review the situation and take appropriate steps.
16. Third-party links and YouTube content
Our services may link to third-party sites or display embedded content, including YouTube videos or links. When you follow a link or interact with embedded content, the third party may collect information under its own privacy policy and terms. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of third-party services.
17. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when our practices, services, service providers, or legal obligations change. The revised policy will identify a new last-updated date. Where required, we may provide additional notice or request renewed consent.
