You may benefit from our work together if …
You’re in pain
Your pain has its own characteristics and you know them well — aching, throbbing, burning, stabbing, persistent, recurring, local, radiating. No matter the description, pain changes how you experience your body and your life: your sleep patterns, your mood, your relationships, your capacity to do the work you love. You want relief.
You’re worried about
your balance
You find yourself feeling anxious as you approach your front porch stairs or when you step off a curb. You don't walk as smoothly as you once did. Deep down, you're worried that your sense of balance is compromised and you may one day take a life-changing fall. You want to move with confidence and worry less about falling.
You "live in your head" and feel disconnected
from your body (and maybe from your life?). Life's stressors and curveballs have taken a toll — a job change, a chronic illness, a demanding family life. You may feel time slipping away from you. You want to be more fully mindful, present and aware.
My most successful clients share these personal qualities…
They’re open to practicing curiosity
Your part of mindful movement practice is to be open to your experience so you can notice how the quality of your movements change – to experience directly, in YOUR BODY, what will help you let go of the “holding” that can get in your way and discover what helps you move with greater ease, comfort and kind acceptance.
They’re willing to experiment
Unlike some body-mind practices that use precise form with prescribed movements and coordinated breathwork, my movement practice depends on guided experimentation based on the principles of optimal movement. You don’t have to get a movement exactly right because there is no universal “right”. : your movement, your experience of your movements, your breath (and your thoughts) are uniquely yours.
They’re prepared to put in some time
My movement practice is designed around incremental and cumulative experience, and while most of my clients have experiential Aha’s in their first session, meaningful and lasting results (as in any area of life) require practice over time.
Does this sound like you?
If so, my movement practice could very well help you get relief from pain, improve your balance, and become more mindful, calm and present, and feel more comfortable, confident, and authenticy in YOUR BODY.
I’m here to guide you through your journey of reconnecting with your body, re-discovering the excitement and pure joy and pleasure that comes from having the full ownership of YOUR BODY, experiencing yourself as your body!
A no-cost zoom strategy call helps us get acquainted and explore possibilities together. It gives us a chance to talk spontaneously and freely. You can share some of your history with me, ask questions, get insight into my perspective as a movement expert, and find out a bit about who I am, and how I can help you. Together, we’ll figure out if we’re a great fit to work together inside the “Understanding How YOUR BODY Moves Method” (my comprehensive movement course platform with my mentorship program).

“This course is one of the most valuable approaches to movement that I’ve ever experienced. I feel like Taro gave me the keys to understanding why I’ve had back pain for most of my adult life, and even better, how I can retrain myself in ways that distribute the effort of moving to the parts of my body that are meant to support it, taking the pressure off of my back muscles. For each movement we explored, we learned multiple variations that we use all the time in everyday tasks, and how to do each variation so that it took much less effort.
The information was practical and hands-on, and the lessons were well-paced, with plenty of time to explore each movement, and short breaks in between to integrate the experience before moving on to the next. I also love that each session was recorded, as it’s allowing me to go back through the sequence and go deeper into the movements at my own pace.
If you keep reinjuring yourself in the same way, if you’re stuck in a pattern of chronic pain that stretching, chiropractic, and other therapies haven’t been able to fix, or if you’re looking for a deeper understanding of how to move your body with ease and comfort, this is the course you’ve been looking for. Thank you, Taro!”
“I value very much Taro’s interest in forming a group of students who have a certain level for the subject and a specific profile, it nurtures and promotes not only a harmonious but stimulating space to acquire knowledge. That alone creates a very respectful environment where everyone feels comfortable with the participants. I have been in groups where students do not share the same educational level and it becomes difficult to follow the thread of the conversations because most of them do not contribute anything or even make unnecessary interventions for the subject. A lot of time is wasted and the rules of the group are broken. On the contrary, in Taro’s group, there is always something interesting to read, there is a constant and stimulating exchange of ideas.
Finding a way to move my body in every aspect of my life that is more optimal, pain-free, healthier, more comfortable, fluid and appropriate for living fully and without limitations was the most impactful part of Taro’s comprehensive movement course. I have found that I am now able to stay strong with day to day activities without having to do targeted exercises or training of any kind, especially when I am unable to do so due to force majeure, as I find that certain parts of my body are activated and strengthened just by doing essential activities such as walking, bending, and climbing stairs. This has also meant that I stop hurting myself less, both when I am simply living and when I am doing activities that I enjoy such as exercising. This was a very important thing for me during a period of time when I experienced pain throughout my body. I feel more confident to take up and even venture into new activities such as ballet, stretching or other sports, since I was constantly afraid of hurting myself and sometimes I did, not only for my very specific condition but also because of a lack of knowledge about my movements. I also think it is possible that at some point, after further practice and implementation, I will be able to create a completely different postural health than the one I have had so far.”
